Commission from the Kitesurfing Community Hertfordshire. I was contacted to create digital prints as gifts for their friends. The individuals sent me their own photographs, and I started to illustrate from there. 

Initially I created the first digital art piece below in a simplistic style with pastel colour tones.

As I got further into the commission, I was given more freedom to put my own stamp on the project, creating shapes through different tones of colour. 

The one requirement I was asked for by the client is to keep the same colour theme throughout. Often relying on the Pantone Colourbook in Illustrator, it was pleasantly simple to keep the theme. 

I wanted to subtly incorporate gradients into the illustrations. With this in mind I created my own gradients using the Pantone Colour Palette and the spot edit technique. I kept the original image close by to make the gradient look as natural as possible.
